Parents Donates Toilet to Unizik High School

A modern toilet facility has been built by the Parents/Teachers Council (P.T.C) of UNIZIK High School and donated to the school.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph E. Ahaneku, FAS on behalf of the University Community, appreciated the PTC of UNIZIK High School for the invaluable contributions it has been making towards the physical and academic progress of the school. He made this remark while officially commissioning the donated modern toilet facility.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the P.T.C has through the wonderful gesture displayed its unrelenting determination to ensure that the quality of the School continues to improve in the interest of its students and the society at large.

Prof. Ahaneku recalled some of the numerous acts of generosity extended to the school by the P.T.C, sending the University’s heart-felt thanks to all the members, who, he noted, must have been sacrificing so much towards that course.

The Vice-Chancellor, accompanied by the DVC (Academic), Prof. Charles Esimone and the University Librarian, Rev. Prof. Obiora Nwosu, were warmly welcomed by the Management of the High School and a delegation of the P.T.C, led by the Principal, Mrs. Victoria Chibuzo Onyejike, who also presented the donated project.

Explaining what inspired the costly project to UNIZIK Bulletin, the P.T.C Chairman, Mr. Joseph O. Madueke, said that the committee put into consideration the importance of the facility and the fact that the school could not afford it and therefore decided to embark on it.

He put the cost at about two million, five hundred naira, stating that the P.T.C members saw it as a sacrifice towards providing better condition for qualitative human development.
