UNIZIK High School To be Connected To University Library

Following concluded arrangements, the UNIZIK High School library would be digitally connected to the Prof. Festus Aghagbo Nwakor digital Library of Nnamdi Azikiwe University for the benefit of the students of the secondary school.

This was made known by the University Librarian, Rev. Prof. Obiora Nwosu during a visit to the University Demonstration Secondary School by the University Management.

According to him, the secondary School Library deserves to share from the huge potentials of the University Library and through that enable the students to access the wide scope of sources of knowledge within its coverage.

The Librarian stated that libraries are indispensable in all grades of educational institutions because of the wealth of knowledge they are supposed to store, pointing out that these should, however, not be mere buildings, but well equipped facilities that merit the name.

Rev. Prof. Nwosu counselled the students against neglecting or giving low emphasis to use of the library, which he described as repositories of information, making them to understand that a good knowledge of how to use the Library is now one of the essential qualities of an educated person.

  • I’m a fan of unizik high school. Is there any plan to provide them with a boarding facility? That would be great. I dream of it.

    • I don’t know about that for now. But I am hoping the amiable UNIZIK VC, Prof Ahaneku, does something about that soon enough cos it’s long overdue. The Unizik high school does deserve a boarding facility.

  • I agree with you. It’s long overdue. Some parents would want their kids to board in such a prestigious school. Boarding has alot of advantages. Hope the concerned authorities will look into it soon.
