139 Pupils Graduates from UNIZIK Nursery Primary School

It was all joy for the pupils, Teachers and parents of UNIZIK Nursery and Primary School during the 11th Graduation Ceremony Cum Prize-giving at the school premises.

Flagging off the graduation ceremony, the Chairman of the occasion, Dr. A. C. Okoye remarked that starting at a tender age to train children will go a long way in correcting the ills in the society.  He also called on parents to do their best to give their children the best training to enable them face the challenges of life.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J. E,. Ahaneku FAS represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Charles Esimone appreciated the authorities and teachers of the model school for their commitment and outstanding achievements so far towards the development of the school.  He said the hope of the nation as a whole lies in the young ones and any investment on them is directly proportional to the outcome as both the parents and the society at large will benefit from them.  The Vice-Chancellor also commended the good performance of the pupils in their results and charged the teachers not to relent in their efforts towards bringing out the best in them.

In her speech, Dr. (Mrs.) Ejesi Nkoli, the headmistress of the school, said the pupils have been groomed to face the next level of their academics.

“We have inculcated in them the spirit to strive for excellence in everything they do, expand their horizons beyond academics and we moulded them through a wide range of talents, which will give them the skills and experience to succeed and become leaders in the global world”.  She said.

She also appreciated the parents for their financial support to the welfare of both the teachers and the pupils while urging them to serve as role models to their wards.

The PTA Chairman, Prof. Emeka Ezeonu, who is also the Vice-Chancellor, Hezekiah University, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for his continuous effort to develop the school.  He pleaded on the need to provide the school with more teachers, educational facilities and other teaching aids.

The graduation ceremony was also accompanied with the launching of the school yearbook. The DVC (Academic), Prof. Esimone on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Management made cash support towards their Magazine. The Chairman, Board of Governors and Acting Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof. O. T. Ibeneme supported the school with a cash donation to help as cash prize to outstanding students across different classes.  In that stead, the PTA Chairman, Prof. Emeka Ezeonu and the Chairman of the occasion, Dr. A. c. Okoye also supported the school magazine financially. Prizes were given to the best pupils in different subjects.
