UNIZIK High School has elected new Parents’ Teachers’ Council (PTC) executive members to conduct the affairs of the revered secondary school.
The election was conducted during the 20th general meeting of the High School. The following is the result:
- Dr. Mbanefo S. Ogene – Chairman
- Mrs. Anthonia V. Emeka – 1st Vice-Chairperson
- Mrs. Oge Aribodor – 2nd Vice-Chairperson
- Mrs. Victoria C. Onyejike – Principal/Secretary
- Reverend Chukwuemeka – Treasurer
- Dr. Iruoma A. Ugoo-Okonkwo- Financial Secretary
- Mr. David J. Ikechukwu – Publicity Secretary/PRO
- Mr. Joseph O. Madueke – Ex Officio Member
Speaking during his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Dr. Ogene thanked the parents and teachers for the confidence reposed on him, and commended the efforts of his predecessors in improving the High School. Thanking the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph E. Ahaneku, FAS and the Board Chairman of the School, Prof. Charles Esimone for the basic amenities provided and face-lift in the High School, he called on the staff of the school to carry out their duties conscientiously. He also urged the parents and all those involved to give him support, as they all aim to lift UNIZIK High School to greater heights.
In her remarks, the principal of the School, Mrs. Victoria Onyejike who spoke earlier stressed the need for students’ discipline, and on the holiday lessons which she said will begin on the first (1st) of August, 2016. She invited all to the valedictory service of the school which holds on 20th of July, 2016 at 1.00 p.m., as well as the graduation ceremony of the school, coming up on 21st of July, 2016.
